British carriers run carrier-grade NAT (CGNAT): a large number of handsets in one area share a single public IPv4 address, and that address changes as phones move between cells or reconnect. A website that blocked or throttled one of those addresses would lock out real subscribers on Three, BT or O2 at the same time, so platforms score it as normal consumer traffic from inside a UK carrier's own network range rather than as a server.

The UK pool holds devices on 4G LTE and on 5G across Three, BT and O2. You do not pick the radio generation, because the exit IP a website sees comes from the carrier's public address range, and a 5G handset and an LTE handset on the same carrier share those ranges. To the target site 4G and 5G look identical; what it evaluates is the carrier ASN and the address block.
5G matters for the connection behind the IP rather than the IP itself. Devices on 5G give you more headroom for image-heavy feeds, video and app traffic that would crawl on a busy LTE cell. If latency is critical for your job, run a short test from a sticky session against your real target and keep the sessions that perform best. There is no 5G surcharge and no separate 5G plan; a UK mobile plan covers both generations.
Targeting lives in the proxy username, so you can change it per request without opening the dashboard. Start from USER-country-gb and append city-<city code> for one of 35 UK cities, Manchester and Birmingham among them, and isp-<carrier code> to pin Three, BT or O2. The dashboard's location picker lists the exact codes and assembles the string for you, so there is no guessing at city slugs and no risk of a typo that quietly widens your scope to the whole country.
Send requests to the European gateway, mobile-eu.quantumproxies.io:8080, which serves HTTP and SOCKS5, or to the worldwide gateway if one client mixes countries. Authenticate with user:pass or whitelist your server's IP in the dashboard. The gateway honours the scope you set: a request for an O2 IP in Manchester is served by an O2 IP in Manchester or returns an error, never a silent fallback to a different city or carrier.
The default mode is rotating: each request may leave through a different carrier IP within your targeting scope. Use it for checks, price sampling and any job where every request should look like a different phone. For logins, checkout flows, ad-account work and anything that spans several steps, add session-<id> to the username; the gateway then keeps the same carrier IP for that id for up to 24 hours.
A sticky session ends early only if the device behind it leaves the network, in which case the next request with that id is served by another IP in the same scope. Use one session id per account or browser profile, and let finished sessions expire instead of reusing ids across unrelated work. Sticky and rotating are billed identically, per GB transferred, so holding an IP costs nothing extra.
Mobile plans are sold per gigabyte and every plan is valid for 90 days from purchase, so a small plan will not expire before you have used it. Prices are the same for every country, city and carrier; pinning O2 in Birmingham costs no more than the UK as a whole. Current tiers:

Three, BT and O2. All three are in the location tree, so you can pin one carrier with isp-<code> in the username, narrow to one of 35 UK cities, or leave the carrier open and let the gateway choose any British mobile IP inside your chosen location.
Up to 24 hours with a sticky session: add session-<id> to the username and every request carrying that id leaves through the same carrier IP. Without a session id the gateway rotates and each request may use a different IP. If the device behind a sticky session goes offline, the id is reassigned to another IP in the same scope.
The pool includes devices on 4G LTE and on 5G across Three, BT and O2, but you cannot select the radio generation, and neither can a website: 5G and LTE handsets exit through the same carrier address ranges. You get the carrier's IP block and ASN plus the throughput of the device's current connection. There is no separate 5G plan or surcharge.
Shared, like every carrier IP. Because of carrier-grade NAT, each mobile address is in use at the same moment by real subscribers on that carrier, which is precisely what makes it read as consumer traffic. We do not sell dedicated modems. For a long job on one address, a sticky session holds the same IP for up to 24 hours.
Not for mobile. The free trial is 100 MB of Residential Basic, valid 5 days, unlocked once per person by SMS verification in the dashboard (Settings → Free Trial) with no credit card. It uses the residential pool, not the mobile carriers. To test UK mobile, the 1 GB plan at $5 is the smallest paid option.
