How to target a country

Country selection happens in the proxy username, so you can change location per request without touching the host or the port.

  1. Append country-<code> to your username — the code is listed next to every country above.
  2. Add session-<id> to keep the same exit IP across requests; leave it out to rotate on every request.
  3. Narrow it down with city-<city> or state-<state> on the networks that support it.

Not sure where an IP actually exits? Run it through the free IP checker before you launch a job.

The same country code works across every network — only the coverage differs.

Proxy locations FAQ

What does proxy location mean?

A proxy location is the country — and optionally the city or state — the exit IP belongs to. The site you visit sees that location instead of yours, so pages, prices and search results are served exactly as a local visitor sees them.

How many countries do your proxies cover?

211 countries and territories, listed in full on this page. 181 have a dedicated page with local use cases; all 211 can be targeted from the dashboard and the API with their two-letter country code.

What is the proxy country code?

It is the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code of the country — us, gb, de, br. You append it to the proxy username as country-de to force an exit IP in that country. Every country on this page shows its code.

Can I target a city or a state instead of a whole country?

Yes. On the residential and mobile networks you can add city-<city> or state-<state> after the country code. How many IPs a given city has depends on the market, so large cities give the most stable pools.

How do I check which country my proxy IP is in?

Send the request through our free IP checker: it returns country, city, ASN and a fraud score, so you can confirm the exit matches the location you targeted before you launch a job.

Do all locations support rotating and sticky sessions?

Yes. Every country supports both modes: rotate the IP on each request for scraping, or pass a session id to keep the same IP for logins, carts and checkout flows.
