# SessionBox Proxy Setup – Step by Step | QuantumProxies.io

Add QuantumProxies to SessionBox One: Manage proxies, Add proxy, Type, Address, Port, Username and Password, test it, then assign it to the profile.

## SessionBox Proxy Setup: Add a Proxy and Assign It to a Profile

SessionBox One keeps proxies in their own list. From Create profile open Manage proxies, click Add proxy and fill Type, Address, Port, Username and Password with the gateway values. Save it, test it, then assign it in the Proxy field of the profile.

## Where the proxy goes in SessionBox

My Profiles → Create profile → Proxy → Manage proxies → Add proxy

- **Proxy type:** Type
- **Host:** Address
- **Port:** Port
- **Username:** Username
- **Password:** Password

## Set up the proxy in SessionBox

### 1. Create a browser profile

Open SessionBox One. On My Profiles click Create profile in the upper-right corner and fill the name, group and colour.

### 4. Enter the proxy details

Give the proxy a name, set Type to HTTP or SOCKS5 to match the port, then type the gateway host in Address, the port in Port, the username in Username and the password in Password. Click Create.

### 5. Test and assign

Test the proxy from its row in My proxies, then go back to the profile and pick it in the Proxy field. Save the profile and open it.

### Check it

The test action on the proxy row in My proxies; a passed test shows the exit IP.

Assign the proxy in the profile's Proxy field and open the profile. Each profile can hold its own proxy from the list.

## What to type: hosts, ports and the username

Copy the line from the dashboard (Proxies, your plan, the proxy generator) rather than typing it: it already carries the country, the session id and the session length in the username. The table shows what each field holds.

| Plan | Host | HTTP port | SOCKS5 port | Username shape |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Residential Premium | residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io | 8080 | 1080 | USER-country-us-sid-k3f9a1b2-ttl-60m |
| Residential Basic | residentialboson.quantumproxies.io | 9000 | from the generator | USER-country-us |
| Mobile | mobile-us.quantumproxies.io (also -eu, -as, ww) | 8080 | 1080 | USER-country-us-type-mobile |
| Datacenter (per GB) | datacenterboson.quantumproxies.io | 9999 | 10000 | USER-type-datacenter-country-de |
| IPv6 | ipv6.quantumproxies.io | 1001 | from the generator | USER-country-us-package-ipv6 |
| ISP (dedicated IP) | the IP of your line | 8000 | on the plan page | the line's own login |

The password is the one the generator prints next to the username. Pick HTTP or SOCKS5 in the tool and use the port of that column; a port from the other column is the most common reason a check fails. USER and the session id are placeholders for your own values.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Does the SessionBox Chrome extension take the same values?

The extension version has a simpler proxy field; SessionBox One (the desktop app shown here) has the full Type, Address, Port, Username and Password form. The values are identical.

### HTTP or SOCKS5 in SessionBox?

Both are offered under Type. HTTP with the HTTP port of your plan, SOCKS5 with the SOCKS5 port.

### Can several SessionBox profiles use one proxy?

Yes, any saved proxy can be assigned to several profiles, but then they share one IP. Add one sticky line per profile instead.
