# MaskFog Proxy Setup – Step by Step | QuantumProxies.io

Add QuantumProxies to a MaskFog profile: Proxy setting Custom, Configure Device, type, Host, Port, username and password, Check Proxy, then bind the device.

## MaskFog Proxy Setup: Configure a Proxy Device and Bind It

MaskFog stores proxies as devices. In the New Browser Profile page set Proxy setting to Custom and open the Proxy page, click Configure Device on a free device and type the type, host, port, username and password in Edit proxy. Check Proxy verifies the exit; Bind attaches the device to the profile.

## Where the proxy goes in MaskFog

New Profile → Proxy setting: Custom → Proxy → Configure Device

- **Proxy type:** Proxy type
- **Host:** Proxy Host
- **Port:** Proxy Port
- **Username:** Proxy username
- **Password:** Proxy Password

## Set up the proxy in MaskFog

### 1. Create a new browser profile

Open MaskFog and click New Profile on the left. Enter the profile name and the browser and User-Agent settings you want.

### 4. Enter the proxy details

Give the proxy a name, set Proxy type to HTTP or SOCKS5 to match the port, then type the gateway host in Proxy Host, the port in Proxy Port, the username in Proxy username and the password in Proxy Password.

### 5. Check the proxy

Click Check Proxy. Connection test passed with the exit IP, country, region and city means the line works; click OK.

### 6. Bind the device to the profile

Back on the Proxy page click Bind on the configured device; the profile page now shows the bound proxy. Create the profile and launch it.

### Check it

Check Proxy, next to Proxy Host in Edit proxy. Connection test passed lists the exit IP and location.

Create and open the profile; the bound device routes its traffic. The bound proxy is listed on the profile page.

## What to type: hosts, ports and the username

Copy the line from the dashboard (Proxies, your plan, the proxy generator) rather than typing it: it already carries the country, the session id and the session length in the username. The table shows what each field holds.

| Plan | Host | HTTP port | SOCKS5 port | Username shape |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Residential Premium | residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io | 8080 | 1080 | USER-country-us-sid-k3f9a1b2-ttl-60m |
| Residential Basic | residentialboson.quantumproxies.io | 9000 | from the generator | USER-country-us |
| Mobile | mobile-us.quantumproxies.io (also -eu, -as, ww) | 8080 | 1080 | USER-country-us-type-mobile |
| Datacenter (per GB) | datacenterboson.quantumproxies.io | 9999 | 10000 | USER-type-datacenter-country-de |
| IPv6 | ipv6.quantumproxies.io | 1001 | from the generator | USER-country-us-package-ipv6 |
| ISP (dedicated IP) | the IP of your line | 8000 | on the plan page | the line's own login |

The password is the one the generator prints next to the username. Pick HTTP or SOCKS5 in the tool and use the port of that column; a port from the other column is the most common reason a check fails. USER and the session id are placeholders for your own values.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### What is a proxy device in MaskFog?

A slot that holds one proxy line. You configure it once with host, port, username and password and bind it to a profile; one device per profile keeps IPs separate.

### HTTP or SOCKS5 in MaskFog?

Both. HTTP with the HTTP port of your plan, SOCKS5 with the SOCKS5 port, same host and login.

### Can MaskFog paste a full proxy line?

Edit proxy has separate fields for host, port, username and password; paste each value from the generator line.
