# BitBrowser Proxy Setup – Step by Step | QuantumProxies.io

Add QuantumProxies to a BitBrowser profile: Add, Method Custom, Type HTTP or SOCKS5, Host, Port, Username and Password, then Check Proxy. With screenshots.

## BitBrowser Proxy Setup: Custom Proxy Method in the Add Dialog

BitBrowser's Add dialog starts with the Proxy block. Set Method to Custom, pick the Type, type the gateway host and port into Host and Port, then the username and password. Check Proxy on the right confirms the exit IP; Confirm saves the profile.

## Where the proxy goes in BitBrowser

Browser Profiles → Add → Proxy → Method: Custom

- **Proxy type:** Type
- **Host:** Host
- **Port:** Port
- **Username:** Username
- **Password:** Password

## Set up the proxy in BitBrowser

### 1. Create a browser profile

Open BitBrowser, choose Browser Profiles in the left menu and click Add in the top-left corner. The Add dialog opens with the Proxy section at the top.

### 2. Enter the proxy details

Set Method to Custom and Type to HTTP (HTTP port) or SOCKS5 (SOCKS5 port); keep Protocol on IPv4 unless you use the IPv6 plan. Type the gateway host in Host, the port in Port, then Username and Password. Refresh Proxy stays empty.

### 3. Check the proxy connection

Click Check Proxy at the top right of the Proxy section. BitBrowser shows the exit IP with country, region, city and time zone. Finish the profile and click Confirm.

### Check it

Check Proxy, top right of the Proxy section. The result lists the exit IP, country, city and time zone.

Open the profile from Browser Profiles. Its Proxy IP column shows the exit the check found.

## What to type: hosts, ports and the username

Copy the line from the dashboard (Proxies, your plan, the proxy generator) rather than typing it: it already carries the country, the session id and the session length in the username. The table shows what each field holds.

| Plan | Host | HTTP port | SOCKS5 port | Username shape |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Residential Premium | residentialpremium.quantumproxies.io | 8080 | 1080 | USER-country-us-sid-k3f9a1b2-ttl-60m |
| Residential Basic | residentialboson.quantumproxies.io | 9000 | from the generator | USER-country-us |
| Mobile | mobile-us.quantumproxies.io (also -eu, -as, ww) | 8080 | 1080 | USER-country-us-type-mobile |
| Datacenter (per GB) | datacenterboson.quantumproxies.io | 9999 | 10000 | USER-type-datacenter-country-de |
| IPv6 | ipv6.quantumproxies.io | 1001 | from the generator | USER-country-us-package-ipv6 |
| ISP (dedicated IP) | the IP of your line | 8000 | on the plan page | the line's own login |

The password is the one the generator prints next to the username. Pick HTTP or SOCKS5 in the tool and use the port of that column; a port from the other column is the most common reason a check fails. USER and the session id are placeholders for your own values.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Which Type do I select in BitBrowser?

HTTP with the HTTP port of your plan, SOCKS5 with the SOCKS5 port. BitBrowser also lists HTTPS and SSH: do not use them for our gateways.

### Does BitBrowser have a paste box for the whole line?

Not in the Add dialog: Host, Port, Username and Password are separate fields. The Proxy IP page can import lines in bulk if you manage many profiles.

### The Host field in BitBrowser has a 200-character limit. Is the username too long?

No. A sticky username with country, session id and ttl is about 40 characters; the limits apply to each field separately.
